If you had been one of the gamblers that visit the horse racing at Goodwood you would have done well to have put your money on Preston Park YCC riders this weekend. Indeed the owners of Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit, where the racing took place, must have been pleased with the state we left things in as PPYCC riders achieved two clean sweeps. In the youth racing clean sweep number one was when PPYCC won all the categories on offer with first places for Brock Duncumb, Gabriel Parle and Ben O’Brien.
In the Inter-Club competition we had many other riders who it was great to see riding so well, and it was pleasing to see several go away with a clutch of medals as part of the Inter Club series. I managed to miss this particular ceremony but know that Cory Anderson won the under 8s, Ted O’Brien must have come second in the under 10s with Nicholas Wickens third for the second clean sweep and Jack Oliver Blaney was second in the Under 14s. The Inter-Club is part of a series running from September to October so we hope to see you at some races soon. The full Goodwood results are shown below.
