Saturday morning sessions
The club season at Preston Park runs from the first Saturday in March to the last Saturday in October.
We run two sessions on a Saturday morning to allow riders of all age groups time on the track every week.
Saturday morning sessions are for existing club members only. We run taster sessions once a month for new members, if you are interested in joining please see our Membership page.
The sessions are are as follows:
Under 12’s (Inner Ring): 9.00 – 10.30am – the focus of Inner Ring sessions is on fun, skills and racing. For those that are at the upper age and ability range for the Under 12’s we organise a gradual introduction to Outer Ring to aid progression.
Over 12’s (Outer Ring): 10.30 – 12.00pm – this is a training and race practice session.
Sessions cost £4.00 and is paid on the day using either cash or card.
Arrive at least 15 minutes before your start time to allow for a prompt start.
What do I need to bring?
In addition to your session fee, please bring
Appropriate clothing and footwear that keeps you protected from wind, sun and cold temperatures. Note that cycling tends to be a cold sport, especially at start and end of the season.
A drink and a snack
Track mitts or gloves which will protect your hands in the event of a fall as well as keep your hands warm.
If you have specialist cycling shoes then you should bring trainers to enable you to join in all the activities. Please note that many cycle specific shoes are not designed for safe walking or running.
Please note that we sometimes use photography at our sessions and events and publish these on our website. If you do not wish you or your child to be pictured on our website then please inform our membership secretary.
