Lukas Nerurkar has won Stage 5 of the Giro D’Italia Next Generation (nicknamed the Baby Giro) in decisive fashion with a two-up sprint following a 40km breakaway. You can watch an exciting video of the final kilometer and can also read about Lukas on the GiroNextGen website.
This amazing win comes on the top of another big stage win last month at the Nations Grand Prix, a prestigious U23 UCI event in which Lukas raced in Team GB colours.
Lucas joined PPYCC in 2003 as an U10 rider and stayed with the club through to U16s. Many of you have met Lukas quite recently as it was great to have him back last Autumn to present our club awards to our next generation of up and coming riders!
