We are delighted to see that following a very successful 2023 season with Trinity Racing, PPYCC alumni Lukas Nerurkar is set to join the World Tour ranks with EF Education Easypost for 2024.
Lukas started with PPYCC way back in 2003 as an U10 rider and stayed with the club right through to U16s before joining VCL as a junior. Many of our new generation of riders met Lukas quite recently as it was great to have him back in Autumn 2022 to present our club awards to our next generation of up and coming riders!
Lukas racked up an impressive list of achievements while racing with PPYCC over the years including:
U12s club champion in 2015
National Youth Omnium finals qualification as an U12 rider in 2015 (since restricted to U14 and U16s only)
National Youth Omnium finals qualification again as an U14s rider in 2017
Everesting attempt on Ditchling Beacon in 2017
South East squad member at the National School Games in 2018
Track Nationals top 10 in 2019
There are probably more, that’s just what we wrote about on our website at the time. It really doesn’t seem very long ago that Lukas was riding around Preston Park in PPYCC colours, and we are very proud and excited by what he has achieved in the few short years since then.
We all wish you the very best of luck on the World Tour, Lukas!!
