For those of you cycling to Gumber Bothy
We will meet at the Preston Park track at 9.30am for signing on. We aim to ride out by 10am.
You will need an overnight bag containing warm clothing, spare cycling kit, sleeping bag, towel, toiletries. If you don’t want to sleep in the dormitories you can bring a tent and all that is needed go with it. The dorms have padded mattresses but I don’t think there are pillows. Perhaps bring any empty pillow cases to stuff with clothing.
Overnight bags will be taken to Gumber in the support van.
You can drop your bags off at ‘sign on’ on Saturday or you can deliver them to my house (90 Beaconsfield Villas BN1 6HE) on Thursday / Friday evening Text in advance 07434691462 or you can drop off at my work on Thursday / Friday ( Infinity Foods 46 Dolphin Road Shoreham BN43 6PB) Text in advance 07434691462
For those of you arriving by car or public transport
The Bothy and campsite are a two-mile walk from the nearest car park at Bignor Hill or Northwood (grid ref SU 959098) and there is no vehicle access to the site. I think you can get a bit nearer with a car to drop off gear but not for parking. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU ATTEMPT TO BRING A VEHICLE ON SITE. The cycling group aim to arrive by 4pm
