This weekend saw the first round of the KidsTri series held in Worthing. Congratulations to Luke and Cooper who won their respective TriStar 1 and TriStar 2 age categories, both finishing over a minute clear of their nearest competitors. While both boys were competitive on the runs, their performances were dominant on the cycling sections. Well done to both, they received some well earned trophies and ice cream afterwards!
This first round was a duathlon (run, cycle, run) and is followed through the summer by 3 triathlons in Billingshurst, Steyning and Bognor before finishing with an aquathlon (swim, run) in Billingshurst.
These are ideal events for PPYCC riders whose strong base fitness levels and bike skills will put them in good stead for solid performances. For more info on the KidsTri series and other regional events see our blog post from last month.
