If riders new to racing and not sure how to get started or what’s involved please speak to our coaches. On British Cycling website under Events , filter by the type of event – BMX, Road/Track, MTB etc for your age category and all events open to riders of that category will be listed.

British Cycling Regional School of Racing (RSRs) selection 2022-23

For those interested in being selected for British Cycling Regional School of Racing (RSRs) commencing with track Autumn 2022 – that’s riders who are currently 2nd year Youth B (u14) and 1st year Youth A (u16) , selection will take place at the end of August 2022. RSRs are a series of training days and online sessions led by British Cycling talent development coaches that develop riders skills on and off the bike beyond whats covered at a Go-Ride Cycling Club and is the first formal step on the British Cycling Development Pathway.

Currently Idha Hicks and Alfie Bunyan are on the RSRs for circuit and track so riders can ask them about what’s it’s like as a rider.

For selection there is an expectation for Track that riders are racing Regional competition as well as local track leagues and are also joining Track Development Centres. Similarly for Circuit RSRs , Regional level competition and joining  circuit Development Centres. This doesnt mean taking part in all regional competition and training sessions but these sessions do require riders to have a good level of competitive experience.

The link below on British Cycling provides details on RSRs and selection criteria:

Selection isn’t until the end of August so theres still plenty of time to get involved in racing and training events if you’re interested. Please contact me or speak to one of the coaches if you’d like more information.
