We are excited to be hosting Round 3 of the National Youth Omnium series at Preston Park on Sunday 18th May. This is our biggest annual event and our club’s main fundraiser, so we look forward to seeing as many of our members there as possible. All ages from U10 through to U16 are welcome to enter, and everyone is welcome to come and watch and cheer on the riders!
Sign up to race
The Omnium provides a great opportunity for those of our riders who are enjoying their Wednesday night track racing at a local level, to step up to regional-level racing at their home track. If you are racing at SCRL then please do enter the Omnium, it will be a fantastic experience for you. Full details are here including links to the sign-up page. We have a good number of entrants so far but have room for loads more in the U10 and U12 categories!
Volunteers needed
We already have many of the core volunteer and race official roles filled but we do also need a supporting cast of volunteers. Available roles include marshals and gate keepers, time keepers and rider holders, gear checker, tea and coffee helpers. Roles are available either throughout the day or for shorter stints.
