Well done to all our Inner Ring riders who took part in the distance challenge today. It was a good opportunity for riders to see how they have progressed during the season so far and to test their fitness, gearing and pacing skills which we’ve been practising in recent months.
Normally we would do 6 laps for U8, 12 laps for U10 and 18 laps for U12 riders. But today was particularly impressive for the amount of riders aiming high and asking to do more laps! So we had quite a few U8’s doing 12 laps and U10’s doing 18 laps. Well done to everyone for their effort and determination!
We will run one final distance challenge in the autumn to give riders another opportunity to see how they’ve improved during the year.
The results are now available on the Distance challenge results page, riders have been allocated Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum standards based on the club’s Distance challenge standards.
Thanks as always to all club volunteers who helped with registration, course setups, timing and lap counting!
