This is a brand new venue which should be easier to set up than our previous venues but, due to its popularity, will need greater marshalling than usual. We are looking to our members, our members family’s and our club volunteers to help us finish our season such that we have the resources to continue next season. We estimate we need 35 volunteers throughout the day, though not for the whole day.

| Signing on | A sociable and enjoyable job which some people find stressful as you are constantly asked questions by both anxious and friendly competitors and their parents [usually only youth’s parents]. | |||||
| Recording laps | One recorder calls the numbers of riders as they go past, the other notes them on a pape grid with a pencil. This is a back-up system for the wonderful remote data system which has never failed us. | |||||
| Prize allocation | Handing out prizes to youths, and cash laden envelopes to adults, after each race result is published. | |||||
| First Aid | You need to be a qualified first aider. Most years the First Aid kit remains unopened, but you have to be prepared to act and able to move around the course to wherever an incident may present itself. |
| Catering | Assisting Charlie Booth, of PPYCC and Infinity Foods, in preparing and serving from our renown PPYCC kitchen. Avoid if aiming to lose weight. | |||||
| Marshalling am | This is marshalling the youth races. The Under 10s and Under 12s needs fewer marshals than the older youths and seniors. | |||||
| Marshalling pm | This is for the senior races which tend to be a spectacle. The main role here is in ensuring safety and good humour of spectators, competitors and passing public so that we can return the following season. Sometimes the course barrier tape needs fixing. | |||||
