The 10 race series finally came to its climax on Tuesday evening. The conditions did not look good as a storm front started to come in and although there was little rain there was a strong headwind down the back straight which changed to a cross wind towards the final corner.
There were 4 PPYCC riders in the U16/U14 mix race, Lloyd Castello, Josh Ballinger, Amelia Roberts and James Gilmore. All put in valiant efforts and special mention to Lloyd who rode a fantastic race keeping in with the leading pack. Josh had to work hard in a group of riders who were fighting for points and a place on the podium, ultimately Josh finished the series on the podium in 3rd place. James and Amelia finished well even with the strong head wind taking it’s toll by the mid way point, both rode the series pushing hard in every race.
After the 10 race series Finn Anderson finished 2nd in the U16 boys, Amelia Roberts finished 3rd in the U16 girls and Josh Ballinger finished 3rd in the U14 boys. Others who raced in some of the series from PPYCC included Tom Pugh-Morgan and Luca Stone.
Well done to everyone who attended the racing throughout the series.
