Cycling Award for Young Volunteers, opportunity for the over 13s
The CAYV award by British Cycling gives young volunteers the chance to improve their skill base, put something into club cycling and learn more about the sport. It can also count towards the Voluntary section of the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme. We have several members who have worked their way through this scheme including Josh Fanner who has achieved the Platinum Award.
Over the Christmas period, 2nd January, there is a chance to take part in this award in the morning and then take part in a coached cycling session in the afternoon.

Dear Go-Ride Club volunteers,
Please find attached details of the Next CAYV workshop for the South East region.
We will once again be running a Young Volunteers workshop FREE to any Go-Ride club members aged 14-18 on the 2nd Jan at Cyclopark from 09:00 – 13:00. We will then have an hour break for lunch (not provided) before running a FREE coaching session from 14:00 – 16:00. This will either be on Cyclo-X or on the BMX track depending on the experience of the group on the day. Details will be posted on the regional social media channels, so please help us share those within your clubs.
For more info on the CAYV program click here. To see where the program can lead you, check out some of the Platinum volunteers on the blog pages here.
All Parental Consent forms and Self Declaration forms need to be returned to me before the 27th December.
Please contact me or any of the Go-Ride coaches for more information on the CAYV.
Kind regards,
Luke Anderson
