Cycle-Cross winter season starts this week!

Cycle-Cross racing

Part of the league run by London Cycle-Cross Association there are three local cross races in September and October. Open to all ages, sexes and levels of experience.

4th September – BECC Cyclocross, Stanmer Park

9th October – PPYCC Cyclocross, Happy Valley, Woodingdean

30th October – PPYCC Cyclocross, Happy Valley, Woodingdean

Cycle-Cross training

Cross training starts on Tuesday so here’s all the info and online enter details.
Run by qualified British Cycling Cyclo Cross coaches these evening sessions give you the skills and fitness required for Cyclocross riding & racing. Each one starts with technique before building towards some serious interval training at the end. They will give you a good work out, whatever your level, while increasing your skill on the bike. They are not just for Cyclocross riders; anyone with a mountain bike is very welcome to come along and take part. Riders need to be 12+ years and competent on a bike, each session is £2 for all riders. If you are under this age please email and tell us how much riding you do. If the amount you do is suitable then you may still be able to come along. Sessions start promptly at 18:30 so please get there 15 minutes early to get warmed up and signed on. The session runs on the fields where the football pitches are located. We meet in the car park near the football pavilion, however, if we can’t use the car park we will be based at the Eastern end of Waterhall. Sessions run every Tuesday starting on the 30th August, up to and including 31st January. (No session on the 29th of December)
