British Schools National Hill Climb

The BCSA National Hill Climb is being held on Saturday June 22 at Ditcham Park School, Petersfield, hosted as always by Solent Pirates Youth CC.

You can register for the event via their Eventbrite page, and it costs £12.36 including booking fee.

British Schools Cycling Association run a different set of age categories from British Cycling, these are U7/U9/U11/U13/U15/O15. Details can be found on the event page. The climb is long and steady on the slopes of the South Downs on a closed private road.

You actually need to be a BSCA member to ride this event but fear not, PPYCC is affiliated to BCSA and we have a bunch of membership cards we can give out in advance for free.

Previous years at this event have seen podium placings by PPYCC riders including Raphael in 2023 and Cooper in 2022, and it would be really great to have some of our members there again this year. As you can see below, PPYCC is always massively outnumbered by Solent Pirates (in yellow) and Ditcham Park School (in red and green), it would be great to boost the PPYCC numbers! Please consider lift sharing, it’s about an hour away.
