If anyone is interested in entering this years Youth tour in Assen the entries open on Feb 5th. Entries are heavily sought after and are allocated on a first come first served basis, and some age groups fill up extremely quickly (think Glastonbury tickets!)
This is a whole week of closed road racing covering ages from 8 to 18, a type of racing event that is simply not seen in the UK for younger riders. Last year Charlie Bunting won his age group at Assen, and pre-covid PPYCC has fielded groups of up to 7 riders across the age groups.
Racing abroad may feel daunting but remember that many other parents and riders are in the same boat. We already have a group of parents on the club WhatsApp group keen to sign up for Assen 2024. If you’d like to be added to the WhatsApp group then let us know, and if you don’t use WhatsApp but would like to be connected to these parents then also let us know and we can provide a mobile number by arrangement.
